The SASORI chair, meaning SCORPION, derives its name from the powerful creature that us desert dwellers know all too well. The spiritual meaning of a scorpion centers on themes of transformation, protection and inner strength. Often acting as a spirit animal or totem, it represents the ability to navigate difficult transitions, set firm boundaries against toxicity, and tap into deep, intuitive power.
Each piece of this collection is designed to hold both the body and imagination. Honoring Japanese brutalist restraint and my love for futurism, this chair is simultaneously grounded and otherworldly. Its carbon black concrete seat is designed to mimic that of a volcanic lunar surface paired with a smooth powdercoat finish and polished nickel end caps.
The SASORI chair can also be fully customized if you prefer a lighter or brighter color palette.
